The darker it gets outside, the lighter colors I seem to choose to my painting.
This watercolour was finished today. I used a very heavy watercolor paper I had saved for years ( 600 g). What a joy it is to work on that kind of paper!
In the forest there is now the time between winter and spring. Sometimes sun and even above zero. But the nights are cold and yesterday we got more snow again.
It was an amazing summer day today and we went to the lake by boat. I sketched with watercolours the cliffs on the shores. I like fresh green colours against the cliffs.
At last summer is here: light, heat and bright colors!
Today I wanted to mix Verde Phtalo with Sepia. Verde Phtalo is very strong green, almost screaming. Its character changes totally by mixing it with natural tint of Sepia. I begun my painting today with this mix.

As the winter continues, the need for colors grows. To see yellow, pink, green.

The summer day was nicest ever, the garden in full bloom.
