What a joy! There were still cowberries left in the woods when we came back home from Spain. Usually it is too late at the end of September.
The oldest watercoloursociety of Spain had its 150th anniversary in September at Llanca, near French border. Society organized an international symposium and exhibition. Four Finnish watercolours were in the exhibition, mine also. All together 10 countries were represented.
I took part in the opening and had a possibility to travel in the beautiful surroundings. Even to taste the fruit of a cactus (above) which was growing wild by a road. Taste was a bit like lemon.
We headed to Llanca from southern Spain. As we were driwing to the north, landscape was becoming increasingly greener. There were more and more trees, not only olive trees but also pines and even some birthes!
