It was 6th time we celebrated the birthday of famous Finnish painter Helene Schjerfbeck 10.7. by painting watercolor at the Kenkävero garden at Mikkeli. We were lucky as there were only small drops of rain at Friday.

I am waiting for sun and heat. For buds in the trees. Just one moment yet.
As the weather turned out to be warm again for a while, I decided to go out to the yard to make some watercolor sketches from the last flowers.
Once I was talking with my grandson about the animals in the forest around our house. He was 3 years then.
Wonderful age! Different animals were most inspiring for him.
As we talked about what animals we might face, he said with hopeful eyes : “Elephant might come” .
Now he is five. Brilliant artist.
